...of the pictorial kind. This week a friend kindly offered to make T-shirts with graphical representations of some of the interesting locations in The Teeth of Beasts. This is obviously a grand idea and because enemy action has destroyed so much, there's a lot of room for imagination.
Not only T-shirts, but also prints, perfumes (rogelach and woodbine flavour?) and other location-specific spin-offs have entered my mind. And what my friend showed me of his previous work, was artistically interesting and fun.
So while listening to Today In Parliament just now, I have done a quick preparatory sketch of The Atlantic Ocean Cafe. It's in pencil, it's not finished, it's not remotely suitable for a T-shirt, and you can't see any characters or much of the detail I hope to add but please, if you definitely don't want to know what I think Harry Velivovsky's down-at-heel little dive just off Wentworth Street looked like, then do not enlarge the image...
