My grandmother's grandmother was a Gluckstein. It was Glucksteins (and others, yes...) who built the monumental Lyons restaurants, corner houses and tea houses. They contributed hugely to making eating out well, and in respectable surroundings, an accessible luxury for ordinary people.
Lyons companies also pioneered business computing in the UK, naming their machines 'LEO'. But despite my tenuous genetic proximity to these explorers of technology, I am finding myself tuckered out doing the hardly physical work of promotion on Twitter (@bbvos) and Facebook, for The Teeth of Beasts.
